Chelle chooses new left back for Portuguese side Super Eagles

Nigeria senior national team coach, Eric Chelle, has given his approval to the invitation of a new left back for the Nigerian senior team, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

As we reported, the coach has identified three areas in which the team needs more options: at left back, in attacking midfield and also in attack, where a priority is to have similar support for striker Victor Osimhen.

However, in the left-back area he has identified Isaac James of Portuguese first division side Alverca as a viable option, after reviewing his performance last season.

The 21-year-old, who joined the team from French side Lorient in the summer transfer market, played a total of 19 games last season for the modest team and held his own against the best teams.

Chelle was very impressed and has already booked him an invite in the future, although it depends on how he performs next season.
