Davido wants a musical collaboration with Rihanna

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, Davido, has named global icon Rihanna as his dream international collaborator.

He made the observation during a live stream interview on Twitch with host @Theboyfromojo.

“Rihanna is my dream collaboration, but she’s no longer interested in music. Now she makes billions from her makeup business,” the singer said.

Davido acknowledged his admiration for Rihana, noting that a collaboration between them would create “amazing music”.

The “I Know Who I Be” singer, however, expressed uncertainty about the collaboration coming soon.

According to him, Rihanna is very focused on her highly successful Fenty fashion and beauty businesses rather than recording new music.

The two artists share a mutual respect as Rihanna has been very vocal in expressing her appreciation for Davido’s catalog.

He once declared Davido’s hit “Unavailable” (featuring Musa Keys) as his favorite song, making it on repeat.

Davido, very appreciative of the ‘shout’, jokingly referred to her as “my Ri Ri” in response.

Davido has collaborated with several international artists, including Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby and DaBaby, highlighting the global reach of his music.

Rihanna, who released her last full-length studio album since “Anti” in 2016, has built a business empire primarily through Fenty Beauty.
