Enyimba has confirmed that the players of the town elephant have been awarded a break at the end of the season, with June 10 established as a resumption date, Completsports.com information.
Ifeanyi Ekwueme, sports director of the nine times of the NPFL title, said exclusively to Complecesports.com that the players will regroup in two lots, with the first lot of lots on June 10.
The second lot, revealed the former International of Nigeria, will return on June 17. This occurs when the former midfielder of Poland Warsaw of Poland also revealed that the second edition of the annual Nwankwo Kanu U19 annual tournament will begin next week, with 12 teams participating.

“We have given the players a break. They will begin to return to the camp to prepare before the next season in two lots,” Ekwueme told Totesports.com.
“The first lot will return on June 10, while the second lot will arrive at the camp on June 17. We want to start our preparation for the 2025/2026 season early enough.”
Ekwueme added: “Last season it was not very pleasant for us because we did not update our goal. But then, we are grateful to God for reaching the group stage of the CAF Champions League and end in third place, which was good enough to ensure that Nigeria still has two points in continental competitions.”
In addition, he revealed that the second edition of the annual Nwankwo Kanu U19 soccer tournament for IMO and Anambra State will start next week. Ekwueme did not give a specific date for the beginning, but revealed that only 12 teams, extracted from the two sibling states, will participate in this year’s edition.

“For tomorrow (Saturday, May 31), I will be in a better position to reveal the start date,” Ekwueme said.
βBut both the draws and the beginning will take place next week.
“We have reduced the number of participating teams. Now, only 12, extracted from the states of IMO and Anambra, will participate in the competition,” Ekwueme explained.
