Ethiopian airlines seek an increase in tourism in Nigeria

Ethiopi Airlines states that it is intensifying the efforts to promote tourism to and from Nigeria to increase the growing momentum of the sector.

The director of the Ethiopian Airlines area in Nigeria, Mrs. FIRIEHIZOT MEKONNEN, said this in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.

Mekonnen said that Nigeria is quickly emerging as the main African hub for entertainment and cultural events and the airline was destined to support its growth.

“Ethiopian airlines connect over 60 African cities to its vast global network, playing a key role in facilitating trade and tourism across the continent,” he said.

According to MEKONNEN, the airline supported important cultural events in Nigeria, including Calabar Carnival, as well as providing travel options without continuity and discounted rates.

He highlighted the rich culture of the country, the natural beauty and the different attractions, adding that the unsuccessful tourist potential of Nigeria deserved global attention.

“Ethiopian airlines are a connector of African trade and tourism.

“We are busy leading more tourism in Nigeria from all over the world and also encouraging the Nigerians to explore Ethiopia and other parts of Africa.

“We will also ensure that” Detty December “is even more accessible to the Nigerians,” he said.

Freedomonline reports that the airline has been operating in the country since 1960 and has brought its most modern fleet on Nigeria routes.
