Ex-Corps Marshal Dauda Ali Biu received a traditional title for the leadership of the grassroots, a lifelong service

A former Marshal Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) corps, Dauda Ali Biu, has been awarded with a prestigious title Jagaban Sabon Gari – important honor that underlines not only its national contribution but more importantly, the impact of unrodged grassroots and commitments to community development.

Honor, given by the Sabon Gari District Council and supported by His Majesty, Emir Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli night, is a rare and symbolic recognition. This strengthens the place not only as a national public figure, but also as a respected son of Sabon Gari, where his journey in public services began.

Turbaning ceremony, which attracts high officials and large crowds from all states of Kaduna and outside, both celebrations and symbolic – recognize a man whose service at the national level has never decided on his relationship with the local community that shapes it.

Presenting the title of Jagaban – A word haua originating from “ja gaba,” which means “leading from the front” – the council praises leadership, integrity, and advocacy that should be emulated for cross -sectoral development such as education, health, and entrepreneurship.

Now retiring from the FRSC, Biu remains very involved in guidance and advocacy for principle public services. This new title, like Jagaban Sabon Gari, is a strong nod for its inheritance and a new mandate for advanced services.

In his acceptance speech, Biu expressed his deep gratitude, describing that honor as a deep person and reflects a lifelong relationship with the roots.

“This honor is very humble. To be named Jagaban Sabon Gari – a title full of history, courage, and leadership – more for me than words that can be fully disclosed. This is not just a title, it is a call for greater responsibility, to continue to serve, support, and increase people who look after me,” he said.

He dedicated recognition to Sabon Gari people – certainly and now – which he said played an important role in its growth and in forming values.

“This community forms my values, my task, and my commitment to public services. Whatever I have achieved nationally, it is rooted in the discipline and integrity that I learned here. I will never forget where I came from.”

Recognize emir and council for honor, Biu stated:

“I am very grateful to His Majesty and the council for this famous honor. I accept it not as an individual, but on behalf of every boy or girl from a humble background who dares to dream and work hard.”

In the future, he reiterated his unwavering dedication for the development and service of grassroots for humanity.

“My commitment to Sabon Gari is permanent. Both in public offices or personal life, I will continue to support initiatives that promote education, health, entrepreneurship, and unity. True leadership is not about positions – this is about service.

He also uses moments to share messages with youth:

“For the younger generation, I say this: integrity, perseverance, and love for your community will not open doors that can never. Proud of your inheritance, respect your parents, and never stop working for the good of everything.”
