Hamzat is the most qualified for the Lagos Government position – APC

Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, as the most suitable candidate for the position because he is well prepared for the job.

According to a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Seye Oladejo, he noted that the party candidate has gone through political tutelage, since he was a teenager, and climbed through the political ladder to get to where he is currently.

The state NPS said Hazmat had better credentials than other candidates vying for the position.

“I wish to declare that Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat represents a compelling combination of intellectual depth, administrative competence, political maturity and progressive conviction that Lagos needs as it prepares for its next chapter of development.”

APC said that despite the political environment crowded with noise mongers, professional critics and merchants of empty promises, Hamzat stood out as a man whose credentials were rooted in professional training, practical government experience and a demonstrable understanding of the complexities of public administration.

The party noted that its candidate’s professional and political credentials deserve serious consideration.

“His service as Commissioner of Science and Technology, Commissioner of Works and Infrastructure and Deputy Governor has given him broad exposure to the realities of government, from technological innovation and infrastructure delivery to executive coordination and policy implementation.”

The party noted that Lagos State cannot afford to gamble on its future or turn the leadership of its complex economy into an experiment in political wishful thinking.

“The stakes are too high, the challenges too great, and the aspirations of its citizens too important.”

He noted that Hamzat understood the environment in which responsibilities must be exercised.

“His background combines technical training with hands-on exposure to the machinery of government, making him appreciate the difference between announcing an idea and implementing it.
