I will not apologize to the Senate, says Natasha as the office resumes – Thage

By Victor Osula, Abuja

The senator who represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, Natasha Akpoti-Auduaghan, resumed the assignment after the expiry of his six-month suspension.

Natasha arrived at the National Assembly at about 13:10.

Natasha had been suspended in March for six months for misconduct and violation of the Senate rules. His suspension includes the withdrawal of his salary, the security details, the blocked access to the premises of the National Assembly and identification as a senator.

Previously, the sergeant to the weapons of the National Assembly, together with the combined staff of security organizations, did not save the 205 office of the Senate of Natasha.

This followed a resolution of the Senate leadership during a meeting held on Monday in Abuja.

The Senate, who on Tuesday postponed the Plenary’s recovery to 7 October, could have done the move well to open the Natasha office, where he should apologize to the legislators before the suspension is finally revoked.

Speaking with journalists in his office Tuesday, Natasha promised not to apologize to the Senate if this is the condition for his return.
