The Independent National Election Commission (Inec) has officially recognized the former Senate President, the National Work Committee led by David Mark (NWC) from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The Commission confirmed this in a post on its website on Wednesday.
An opposition group member led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in July appointed Mark as the temporary national chairman of the ADC and former Governor of State Osun, Rauf Aregbesola, as the National Secretary.

Former Governor of Edo State, Overheimen Osunbor, was chosen as a national law advisor; Ibrahim Mani as national treasurer, former Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, as Secretary of the National Publicity, and Akibu Dalhatu as the National Finance Secretary.
All of the people mentioned above have been recognized by Inec.
The opposition element on July 2 adopted ADC as a platform to seize the power of all the progressive congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.
