NAF kills Boko Haram terrorists in Borno operation

The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has killed a number of Boko Haram terrorists and destroyed key infrastructure in the Sambisa Forest and Tumbuns axis in Borno State

The Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement, Friday in Abuja.

Ejodame said the operation targeted terrorist enclaves, logistics centers and hideouts based on credible intelligence data.

According to him, NAF aircraft carried out a massive air interdiction mission on April 30 at Alafa in the Sambisa axis, during which identified terrorist infrastructure and supply points were engaged and destroyed.

He added that troops continued the offensive on May 1 with another attack on terrorist positions in Metele in Tumbuns.

“Intelligence and surveillance revealed the existence of a fortified island with warplanes, storage facilities and a deeply entrenched defensive trench system.

“NAF aircraft launched precise strikes on the site, neutralizing a number of insurgents and destroying the building,” the spokesman said.
