The vice president of Galatasaray, Abdullah Kavukcu, has provided an update on the future of Victor Osimhen, suggesting that the striker could remain in the Turkey club despite the interests of the best sides in Europe.
Osimhen joined the Turkish Napoli loan champions of the A series A team in September.
Many expected the 25 -year -old to land at the Premier League or return to the series A with another heavyweight.
However, the change to Galatasaray has been worth both for the club and for the player.
Osimhen has reached the maximum form, scoring 28 goals and registering five assists in 32 appearances in all competitions under chief coach Okan Buruk.
Its form has helped push Galatasaray on the edge of another Super Lig title.
According to reports, several European giants, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, PSG, Nottingham and Juventus, are eager to land Nigerian this summer.
Despite the intense interest, the Galatasaray hierarchy does not rule out the possibility of keeping Osimhen beyond the end of the season.
“Osimhen will announce his decision in April. At this time, five of the best clubs in the world are interested in him. His arrival here was a dream that came, and for now, he is playing with us. In January, there was talk of a transfer, but he stayed,” Kavukcu published by the Mirror said.
“He loves Galatasaray a lot. At this time, he is the dream of all our rivals. Although we are focused on winning the title, we have not yet had direct discussions with Victor.”
Kavukcu added: “It makes no sense to talk about that now. Galatasaray is a high -level club, if not, Victor would not have come. His stay in Galatasaray is not as impossible as it seems.”
