PPDC distributes lawyers to provide free legal services to indigent suspicions

In line with its commitment to guarantee a rapid dispensation of justice and principle of fairness in society, the public and private development center (PPDC), supported by the United States Department of State has deployed volunteer lawyers in the police stations in the State of Adamawa to provide free legal services to suspicious suspicions pending processes.

This is just as the center declared that it has also provided over 5000 legal services in the state to the indigent prisoners in the last year pursuant to its new detention project in Nigeria (RPDN) of Phase 11.

He said that he includes over 3000 legal appearances and 2000 bail that have also contributed to improving the cause of justice in society and police synergy.

This was disclosed by the Centro Administrator of the Center, Mrs. Lucy Abagi, represented by Motunrayo Anibaba during a meeting of the commitments of the parties interested in Yola Wednesday.

He asked for greater cooperation and synergy between lawyers and security agencies to improve the administration of justice in the state and in society in general.

According to him, these efforts and the Adamawa milestone speak volumes on their commitments to ensure early legal intervention to safeguard human rights and ensure that justice has been served to everyone regardless of class status.

Also speaking, the police commissioner of the state of Adamawa, the CP Darkwambo Maurice, represented by the CPS Obeth Masoyi, reiterated the Nigerian police commitments to work with all the agencies and parties concerned to support a rapid dispenser of justice, supporting the rights and dignity of all the Nigerians in their responsibilities.

He praised PPDC and other parties interested for their continuous efforts in the administration of justice and the task of the beneficiaries of the training, including the police officers to resign the knowledge acquired in training at their various divisions so that more people have benefits.
