Praisegod leads Dukla Banska to Monacobet league title after 4-year drought

Exclusive FA product Praisegod Emerson helped lead MFK Dukla Banska to the 2025/26 Monacobet Liga title, capping a great season in Slovakia with promotion to the Slovak Super League.

Praisegod joined Dukla Banska ahead of the campaign after impressing with Hamsik Football Academy, where he scored 9 goals and 5 assists in 2024.

He quickly adapted to the demands of Slovak second division football, contributing 6 goals and 4 assists in 20 appearances to become one of the team’s most decisive attackers.

Dukla Banska’s victory marks an important milestone for the club. Founded in 1965 and headquartered in Banská Bystrica.

They are two-time Slovak Cup finalists and have spent several seasons in the top flight, although they have jumped from one division to another in recent years.

This year’s title win returns them to the Slovak Superliga for the first time since the 2021/22 season.

For Praisegod, the promotion is a reward for a season of rapid growth. The lanky striker combined physical presence with intelligent movement and combination play, making him a constant threat in the final third.

His performances have already sparked conversations about his potential at a higher level.

Praisegod emerged from Unique FA’s 2022 scouting program in Lagos, where he was identified alongside four other Nigerian prospects now plying their trade across Europe.

The academy has earned a reputation for producing technically sound players prepared for the European path, and Praisegod is the latest success story.

With Dukla Banska set to play in the top flight next season, attention now turns to how the Nigerian youngster adapts to the Slovak Super League.

Good performances there could put him firmly on the radar of Nigerian national team scouts, who are always on the lookout for strikers with his combination of power, pace and composure in front of goal.
