Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will deliver a sermon at Lambeth Palace on Thursday as part of activities to mark President Bola Tinubu’s state visit to the UK.
Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury and a major center of the Church of England, will host the First Lady during the engagement. According to the official itinerary, he is also expected to hold meetings with Church representatives during his stay.
The visit is Nigeria’s first state visit to the UK in almost 40 years and aims to deepen diplomatic and bilateral ties between the two countries.
President Tinubu and the First Lady arrived in London on Tuesday via Stansted Airport, kicking off a busy schedule of high-level meetings. The President is expected to meet King Charles III and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as well as interact with members of the Nigerian diaspora in the UK.

Outside her official position, Mrs Tinubu is widely known for her strong religious commitment. As an ordained minister at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, she has been actively involved in religious outreach and women-focused initiatives across Nigeria in recent years.
