The Nigeria Premier Football League clash between Rivers United and Remo Stars has been rescheduled.
The game was originally fixed for the opening day of the 2023/24 NPFL season on September 30.
But the match was postponed due to Rivers United’s CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round second leg game with Etoile Filante which took place a day later.
The Pride of Rivers won the game with Etoile Filante 2-0 with Young Oyowah scoring a brace.

However on the official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle of the NPFL it has been revealed that the match will take place on Thursday, October 12 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
Rivers United lost their only game of the current NPFL season s 1-0 to Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
Remo Stars beat Enugu Rangers 2-1 in their NPFL fixture on the same day.
The Sky Blue Stars are currently second place on the NPFL standings with three points after one game.
The Pride of Rivers are languishing in 19th position with zero points after one match played.
