Nigerian international striker Akor Adams says there is no truth to reports that he has agreed terms on his summer transfer to newly promoted Italian Serie A side Venezia, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
According to reports in the Italian press and some select Nigerian media, he has agreed the terms of a transfer with a transfer fee to be agreed with Sevilla, the only thing left for the deal to become official.
Sevilla are reportedly willing to let the 26-year-old go to ease their financial burdens, and will not stand in his way despite his ten-goal tally last season.
Akor has strongly denied the reports, insisting they are baseless, and he is not surprised given the time we find ourselves in, which is a period of transfers and speculation.
“It is normal that during this period there are rumors of transfers of many players, and not just me.”
“I haven’t spoken to my agent and I don’t take those things seriously because now is the time to relax and recharge for next season.” The AFCON 2025 bronze medalist told Footy Africa.
