The captain of the Super Falcons, Rasheedat Ajibade, says that the team is locked up before the friendly against Cameroon and has the view in a successful tournament in the Cup of Nations of Women’s Africa 2024 (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The midfielder was among the first arrivals in the training field of the Super Falcons in Ijebu -ode.
The games are a crucial phase in the final accumulation of the team for the 13th edition of Wafcon, which begins on July 5.
Ajibade said the current camp is more than just friendly matches: it is a basis for building a strong squad that will challenge for a tenth African title that extends records.
“That was a tournament, and at this moment it is a training camp. It is just a friendly game, so it is basically for us to build a team, and just know what we have as a team, as a team.”

With 2023 Heroic of the FIFA Women’s World Cup still fresh in memory, Ajibade reiterated that using green and white remains a source of pride for her and the team.

The 24 -year -old will direct a team with people like Michelle Aloozie, Jennifer Echegini, Toni Payne and Chiamaka N adequate, while the Super Falcons seek to claim their African crown after finishing room in 2022.
The friendlies of Nigeria-Cameroon take place on May 31 at the Stars Stadium Remo in Ikenne and on June 3 at the Mko Abiola stadium in Abeokuta, and it is expected to serve as a tactical and psychological impulse before its continental mission in Morocco.
