Taraba: The army troops arrest four suspicions, recover weapons and ammunition

The troops of Taraba (core reporter) of 6 brigades of the Nigerian army/ sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (Ots) continued to record operational successes in the fight against terrorism and crime in the state of Taraba. In a recent operation conducted on May 7, 2025, the troops arrested four suspicions and recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition in the general area of ​​Tau of the local government area of ​​Ardo-Kola.

The operation followed a rescue call regarding the movement of armed men in the area. The troops responded quickly, tactically deploying in the position, which led to the successful arrest of the 4 suspicions, 3 of which were found in possession of firearms.

The articles recovered from the suspicions include: 2 rifles per pump action, 1 gun manufactured locally, 3 cotolai, 42 cartridges, 4 cell phones and 1 national identity card

The preliminary investigations revealed that the suspicions were presumably invited by an Alhaji Ardo Sani, whose role is currently under further control.

Commander 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Ottws, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, praised the troops for their rapid response and professionalism during the operation. He reaffirmed the commitment of the brigade in guaranteeing the safety and safety of the lives and properties in the state of Taraba and its surroundings.
