Deputy Chancellor of the Tai Solarin University of Education (Tasued), Professor Oluwole Banjo, moved to dissipate the fears and uncertainties following the transition of the institution under the adoption of the federal government.

In a recent interview on an important radio station, Professor Banjo has ensured to the interested parties that the academic and administrative activities during Tasted will remain uninterrupted despite the new agreement.

Facing the concerns relating to the adoption of the university by the Federal Government, Professor Banjo recognized the conflicting reactions between the interested parties, but expressed optimism on the future of Tasted.

“I want to believe that the future is bright. The university will continue to become stronger and stronger and remain one of the most sought after institutions in Nigeria,” he said.

As for the speculations on potential job losses, Deputy Chancellor has rejected these fears, underlining that Tasued recently received the approval of the National University Commission (NUC) for further courses.

This development, according to Professor Banjo, will require the recruitment of more academic staff once the federal government fully hires control.

“There is no cause of alarm on working losses. With the new courses approved by the Nuc, we will have to use more teachers,” he reassured.

In addition to academic developments, Professor Banjo has highlighted Tasted’s commitment to creming students of academic and professional skills through his only double certification certification program.

He mentioned the success story of a graduate recent graduate who has achieved international recognition in the fashion sector, underlining the role of the university in affirming the acquisition of skills to combat unemployment.

The declarations of the deputy chancellor aim to dissipate the uncertainties relating to the transition of Tasted under the federal administration and to strengthen the trust in the stability of the institution and the prospects of future growth.

While Tasued prepares for this new phase, Professor Banjo has reiterated his commitment to maintain the academic excellence of the university and improve his position in the educational panorama of Nigeria.

This reassurance of Professor Oluwole Banjo comes between discussions and preparations in progress for the integration of Tasted in federal governance, marking a fundamental moment in the history of the institution.
