With Havertz now discarded, Arteta has only three strikers for older people available:
Tossard
Ethan Nwaneri
Raheem Sterling
Arsenal will probably remain in a 4-3-3 formation, with:
Trosssard as the central striker
Nwaneri on the right
Sterling on the left
However, Arteta may have to explore alternative solutions:
Kieran Tierney has had cameos on the left wing and could be used as an emergency option.
Mikel Merino could provide air presence in the penalty area.
If Arteta resorts to the Sub-21 team, the most likely options are:
Nathan Butler-andedeji (21, striker)-he had his debut in the first team against Dinamo Zagreb.
Ismeal Kabia (19, extreme): He debuted in September against Bolton Wanderers.
The way ahead
Arsenal will play seven games before the international break of March, including three games in the middle of the week. With the depth of the severely proven squad, the rotation will be crucial, but Arteta faces the challenge of maintaining consistency.
