The highland government knocked on the military because it did not catch the killer even though it was close

The state government of Plateau has blamed the Nigerian Army for its failure to arrest one of the armed men who attacked Jebbu Binde Village in the Ta-Hoss District in the Riyom Regional Government on Monday, where more than 30 people were killed and property worth millions of naira was destroyed.

Commissioner of State for Information, Hon. Joyce Ramnap, who expressed government disappointment on the television of the ‘The Morning Brief’ television
The program, on Friday, said it was terrible that even though there was a military examination post only 200 meters from the village, the soldiers could not catch or eliminate one of the attackers, added that their failure had raised questions about their commitment to protect Nigeria’s life and property.

He said the government was annoyed that the community attacked by robbers’ militias was close to the access road that had a military examination post.

“This is not a hidden community that we will say far, and that is why people cannot access help,” said the Commissioner.

“However, there is room to conduct further investigations, and the Governor specifically requested that at least they must have several forms of arrest. The examination post is only 200 meters from the scene.

“The response we got was that no one was arrested and nothing was arrested. Nobody was killed by everything that happened.

“If you are that close and you involve them like that, you must be able to say this is where they follow and steps to catch them, but so far, there is no arrest.

“We do not want stereotypes and say that all soldiers are compromised in this case. However, there is room to conduct further investigations, and the Governor specifically requested that at least they must have several forms of arrests,” added the Commissioner.

Ramnap which describes the new murder of people as without reason and despicable, lamented that apart from the murder of people, the attackers also went to agricultural land to destroy plants.
