In a significant move to renew the Nigeria sports media infrastructure, the president of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, has undertaken strategic commitments in Paris, France, aimed at transforming the panorama of the nation sports broadcasts.
In a bilateral three -day meeting, the NSC representatives of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), NBC, FCCN, Von and Technical Advisors involved, together with the French transmission Thomson, the original manufacturers of the sports sports of Nigeria.
According to Mallam Dikko, professional sports transmission is the foundation for sponsorship, monetization and sustainable development in the sports sector.
“The absence of a structured transmission framework has long hindered progress, but this initiative under the renewed initiative of hope for the sports economy of Nigeria (Rhse) tries to change it.
The partnership will focus on the update of existing vans sports, in relaunching the International Broadcast Center at the Mko Abiola Stadium in Abuja and to train technical staff across the country.
The work plan agreed with Thomson Broadcast includes short, medium and long term results that aim to position Nigerian sports content for global portability and commercial profitability.
Mallam Dikko referred to previous attempts during his mandate as president of the LMC, which laid a basis for current efforts.
He appreciated President Bola Tinubu for providing the political will and institutional support necessary to give life to the vision.
“This is a move that changes the game that will open new doors for sports broadcasts, Esport and more, inaugurating a new era for the Nigerian sports industry,” concluded Dikko.
