The troops saved the kidnapped person, restoring weapons in the benue

The joint task force forces, the Wirel Stroke Operation (OPWS), has saved the kidnapped person, Mr. Torbee, and restores the destination in the Katsina-ala regional government in the Benue state.

Acting media information officer, OPW headquarters, Lieutenant Ahmad Zubairu, revealed this in a statement on Monday in Makurdi.

He said the victim was rescued around Agera Nagu in Mbagina, the Michihe Katsina-ala LGA council ward followed credible intelligence about the activities of criminals.

He added that the troops carried out operations in conjunction with the Benue Civil Protection Guards (BSCPG) operations.

Zubairu said: “At the time of arrival, a shootout occurred with the criminals, who were overwhelmed by the firing power of the dashing soldiers.

“The criminals fled in chaos and left their victims, TN. Teryima Torbee, a 43 -year -old man, who was immediately rescued without injury.”

“The restored exhibition included a FN rifle, five magazines, and 83 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition.”
