The United States Government Exchange Alumni Association Nigeria (USGEAAN), Enugu State Chapter, has announced its community-focused outreach as part of the commemorative activities of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America (Freedom 250).
According to State Coordinator, Ebere Amaraizu, everything is ready for the full-scale implementation of the Freedom 250 Future Leaders Outreach, an initiative that reflects the core values of leadership, education, service, civic responsibility and interpersonal engagement that underpin the U.S. Government’s exchange programs.
Recognizing the transformative impact of educational and cultural exchanges, the initiative will provide Exchange Alumni the opportunity to interact directly with youth in selected public schools: Enugu Smart Green School, Elugwu-Akwu Achi Campus and Community Secondary School, Ugwuoba, both in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Amaraizu revealed that the sensitization will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, by 11am, with Enugu Smart Green School, Elugwu-Akwu Achi Campus as the main venue.
According to him, the initiative aims to go beyond symbolic celebration to create a significant and lasting impact on students who represent the next generation of leaders, innovators and change makers.
