The Alumni Association of the University of Ilorin praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for having appointed three of his distinct members in positions of key leadership in the country.
The names include Mrs. Kemi Nana Nandap, whose mandate as a general immigration controller has been extended until December 2026; Babs Omotowa, appointed non -executive director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), representing the North Central; and Prof.
James A. Aribisala, appointed pioneering vice-chalking of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Eloves.
In a declaration issued by the National President, prof. Abdulrasaq Kilani and the national secretary, dr. Barakat Raji, the association expressed joy for appointments, describing them as a recognition of excellence and competence.
The body of the former students praised the decision of President Tinubu selecting people with proven records, ensuring that the nominated would handle their mandates.
They also urged the trio to show excellence in their respective roles and exceeds the expectations established by the President.
By enhancing their professional pedigree, the association has encouraged them to support the slogan of the institution, “better than far”, in all aspects of their service to the nation.
The declaration ended with the prayers for their successful mandate and a commitment to support the Alumni Association every time it is required for national development.
