Zelensky in Putin: I’ll wait for you on Thursday

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has declared to expect Russia to implement a fire and that he will personally wait for President Vladimir Putin in Türkiye on May 15th.

Zelenskyy announced it on Telegram, Turkish news agency, citing Ukrinform, Sunday.

“We wait a full and lasting fire, starting tomorrow, to provide the foundations necessary for diplomacy.

“It doesn’t make sense to prolong the murders,” said the Ukrainian president.

Zelensky added: “I will wait for Putin in Türkiye Thursday. Personally.”

“I hope that this time the Russians will not seek apologies,” he underlined.

According to the report, on May 10, Ukraine, together with its allies-French, Germany, the United Kingdom and Poland-proposed a 30-day unconditional fire.

If Russia were to reject it, the Allies of Ukraine have planned to strengthen the penalties against Moscow.

Later, Putin proposed to hold direct negotiations with Ukraine “where they were interrupted” in 2022.
