Imo Govt supports New Football Academy

The state commissioner IMO for sport, Hon. Obinna Onyeocha, revealed the football academy of Prof. but Nze/Olchi Ekwueme in the state. Represented by Mr. Gregg Nwadike and Wilson Amaefule, the commissioner assured that the government would continue to support the people who invest in the development of sport, also collaborating with agencies to strengthen basic sport in the state.

Speaking at the ceremony, Onyeocha praised Olchi Ekwueme for his vision and commitment to return to the company through the institution of the Academy. He observed that these initiatives would play a vital role in the care of young talents and in the creation of future opportunities for athletes.

The highlight of the event was a ceremonial match between the Academy team and Harkers FC, which ended with a 1-1 draw. After the game, the CEO of the Academy, Olchi Ekwueme, and the team coach, Ekejuba Michael Nwopara, expressed their determination to compete in every competition available with the final goal of nourishing the future football stars for Nigeria.
