The organizers of the third edition of the MUSA KIDA SUB-17 basketball championship have hardened the anti-aging trap rule, demanding the results of WAEC and the national identification number (NIN) as part of the requirement for the registration of interested teams.

The registration window will run until Saturday, October 4, 2025 before the championship.

The director, Wonderland Sports, Tayo Adeyemo revealed that competition is strictly for players under 17, and a rigorous detection process has been introduced to combat the growing threat of trap in sports in sports

“All players must appear for projection with original documents, and any violation will not be tolerated,” said Adeyemo.

According to him, the following documents are mandatory for all participants: Birth Certificate, Primary School Departure Certificate, Medical Report of a Government Hospital and School Photolibros.

He added that the teams will present 12 players each in the categories of children.

“The projected players will not be replaced, and any team with less than 7 eligible players will be publicly disqualified and included to cheat.” It is not just disqualification; Such teams will have their names published in national newspapers and make them become viral as age traps, ”he emphasized.

The championship will also see Zenith Prostar serve as the official sponsor of the kit, further promoting the profile of the tournament.
