PSG coach Luis Enrique has paused the club’s plans to sign Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen at the end of the season when the summer transfer window opens.
Osimhen has been in top form for Galatasaray with 17 goals in 25 games, seven of them in just eight games in the UEFA Champions League. A shape that has caught the attention of the rest of Europe.
The former Napoli striker is now being linked with a return to one of Europe’s top five leagues. According to Foot Mercato, Bayern Munich is the most interested. The Bundesliga giants are looking to prepare for life after Harry Kane, with Vincent Kompany approving a move for the Nigerian international.
However, one club he apparently will not be joining is Paris Saint-Germain. Foot Mercato understands that the reigning European champions have rejected the opportunity to sign Osimhen. The cost of the transfer, in excess of €150 million, together with the striker’s high salary demands (€20 million net per season) and Luis Enrique’s reluctance to approve such a move, means that the Parc des Princes is not a realistic destination.
