Malami thanks allies in legal battle…

Abubakar Malami

The former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has expressed deep appreciation to Nigerians and political figures who stood by him during what he described as a difficult period marked by media scrutiny and public speculation.

In a statement released by his media aide, Mohammed Bello Doka, Malami thanked family, friends and well-wishers for their prayers, encouragement and faith in due process.

He noted that their support strengthened his resolve.

He also recognized prominent political figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Rotimi Amaechi, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Peter Obi and others for their solidarity and “principled intervention” during that period.

Malami said their support demonstrates courage and commitment to justice, especially at a time when he said “silence would have been more convenient.”

While expressing confidence that truth and justice will ultimately prevail, the former minister stressed that the situation goes beyond personal circumstances, describing it as part of a larger struggle for justice and accountability in Nigeria.

He called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and join efforts to rebuild hope, strengthen the rule of law and promote national integrity.

Malami warned that the country is at a critical juncture in its history and requires courageous leadership and active citizen participation to overcome the challenges.

“The fight has just begun,” he said, urging citizens not to give in to despair but to work collectively to reclaim the nation’s future.

He concluded by offering prayers for his supporters and reaffirming his commitment to justice and national development.
