In a significant initiative, a big fan gifted personalized jerseys to Barau FC captain, Usman Maidubji, for his exceptional leadership style with the Kano team.

Maidubji, who has received praise from several quarters for steering the wheel as skipper of Barau FC, was praised by the fan who traveled 294km from Bauchi to Kano.

Receiving three shirts branded in his name, Maidubji praised the fan for recognizing his efforts at the club and pledged to work assiduously to achieve the team’s goal.

His words: “This is no small thing for me and shows how much love and support you have for me. It is this kind of love that makes me stronger and more confident in this football journey.

“Thank you so much for this honor, God bless you. I will continue to give my best to make you happy.”

Maidubji is leading the Maliya Boys in the ongoing 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League in their bid to finish strongly in Nigeria’s top division.
