Niger Tornadoes mourn the passing of NRA President Sani Zubairu

The Niger Tornadoes Football Club expresses its deepest condolences and deep sadness over the passing away of Alhaji Sani Zubairu, President of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA).

The club joins the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Nigeria Referees Association and the entire Nigerian football community in mourning the painful departure of a dedicated servant of the game, whose contribution to refereeing and the development of football in Nigeria has been truly remarkable and long-lasting.

In a statement released through the media department, the players expressed heartfelt condolences, describing the late Zubairu as an experienced referee and administrator who served the game with dedication, integrity and professionalism.

He noted that the legacy of the late Zubairu will remain a source of inspiration for umpires, administrators and stakeholders across the country.

Commiserating with his immediate family, the Nigeria Referees Association, the Nigeria Football Federation and the entire football community, Niger Tornadoes FC urged everyone to take solace in the impactful life he lived and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.

The club also prays for the peaceful repose of his soul and that Almighty Allah grant his family, friends and colleagues the strength and courage needed to bear this great loss.
