Warri Wolves head coach Hassan Abdallah has exclusively said completesports.com that the Seasiders will not be relegated to the second division Nigerian National League (NNL), ensuring that the club will fight for victory in their final match of the season against the Abia Warriors to secure their status in the NPFL.
Warri Wolves are 16th in the standings with 46 points heading into Sunday’s matchday 38 clash against Abia Warriors in Ozoro.
A possible victory for the Seasiders would see coach Abdallah’s team finish the season with 49 points and ensure salvation from relegation.
Warri Wolves determined to avoid relegation
“It has been a difficult season, but I want to make it clear that Warri Wolves will not go down,” Abdallah told Completesports.com on Monday.

“It is the final match that will determine the winners of the league and ultimately those who will be relegated. It shows how difficult the season has been, but I assure our fans and followers that Warri Wolves will not go down, not at this time.”
Abdallah focused on the crucial confrontation between the warriors of Abia
Abdallah came as a replacement for former coach Napoleón Aluma, who was suspended by the club’s hierarchy.
Since then, he has sought to steady the Seasiders’ ship in a campaign that clearly stands out as one of the toughest in the history of the Nigerian Premier Football League.
“Our focus is on the Abia Warriors game. It is a match we have dedicated our full attention to. The boys have continued to work hard before the game because once we win, we will not have to look over our shoulders regarding what is happening in other venues.
Survival mission tops agenda for Warri wolves
“I am happy that the boys are concentrating physically and mentally. It is a decisive match and we know that Abia Warriors are a difficult team.
“But we are determined and prepared for anything they come up with because our survival depends on the outcome of the game,” Abdallah said.
