Unity Cup: Azeez scores a brace in Super Eagles’ debut match

Millwall winger Femi Azeez immediately impressed Nigeria’s senior side with a brace in a 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in their opening match of the Unity Cup.
Azeez wasted no time in making his mark as he unleashed a left-footed shot to open the scoring for Nigeria in the 4th minute.

His performance demonstrated why Nigeria senior team coach Eric Chelle did everything he could to cover him for Nigeria ahead of England. The 24-year-old was named team of the year in the English Championship.

Chelle compared his playing style to that of Nigerian-born French Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, and showed why in his first match for Nigeria.
