Lagos 2027: APM chooses candidate for deputy governor


The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has fielded Grace Oluwatobi Coker as its deputy governor candidate for the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.

Coker will act as the party’s governorship candidate, Prince Laja Adeoye, as the APM ramps up preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Reacting to her appointment on Saturday, Coker described her appearance as both an honor and a responsibility, expressing gratitude to God, the party leadership, her supporters and the residents of Lagos for the faith reposed in her.

She also thanked Adeoye for choosing her as his running mate, describing him as her leader, mentor and principal.

Coker pledged to work closely with the governorship candidate to advance the party’s vision for Lagos State and assured members that she would contribute her quota to ensure APM’s victory at the polls.

Party members appreciated it

The lieutenant governor candidate commended the party leadership at the national, state, local, constituency and constituency levels for their support and encouragement throughout the nomination process.

He also appreciated other stakeholders and party faithful for their unwavering commitment towards the APM, describing their support as a major source of motivation.

Coker equally acknowledged the efforts of the party’s campaign team members, volunteers and supporters, saying their sacrifices, dedication and prayers will remain critical to the party’s success in the upcoming elections.

He extended his appreciation to his family, friends and political aides for standing by his side throughout his political journey.

It promises focused leadership

Coker also thanked the people of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, his home constituency, as well as residents across Lagos State, for their trust.

She assured them that she would not take their support for granted and pledged to work diligently if elected to office.

Reaffirming his commitment to the APM, he promised to work hand in hand with Adeoye, the party leadership and members to achieve victory in the 2027 governorship election.

According to her, the party is offering Lagos residents a new alternative built on purposeful leadership, accountability, inclusiveness and sustainable development.

He also prayed for wisdom and divine guidance as the party continues consultations and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
