One year in office: Plateau governor bids farewell to APC national president

Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has congratulated the National President of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on his first anniversary in office, describing him as an exceptional leader whose leadership has strengthened the ruling party and promoted unity among its ranks.

In a statement issued by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Dr. Gyang Bere on Saturday, Mutfwang joined family members, political associates and supporters in celebrating the APC National Chairman’s first year in office.

The governor described Yilwatda as “an exceptional leader, an accomplished scholar and a staunch supporter of the party”, noting that his visionary leadership has continued to consolidate the APC’s position as Nigeria’s ruling party.

He commended the party chairman for providing focused direction and promoting unity within the APC, saying his leadership has resulted in notable electoral successes, including recent by-election victories.

Mutfwang also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the trust reposed in Yilwatda and the unwavering support extended to him since he assumed office.

According to the governor, Plateau State has continued to benefit from the federal government’s developmental interventions through strategic collaboration, expressing confidence that the partnership will be further strengthened for the advancement of the state, the APC and the country.

He also praised Yilwatda’s contribution to national development, citing his intellectual depth, his political commitment and his commitment to democratic governance as qualities that have distinguished his leadership.

“On behalf of my family, government and the peace-loving people of Plateau State, I congratulate Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda on this significant achievement and pray that Almighty God will grant him continued good health, divine wisdom, renewed strength and greater achievements as he leads the All Progressives Congress to greater heights,” the governor said.
