Austrian LASK winger Moses Usor has for the first time received an invitation to the Nigerian senior team for the upcoming AFCON qualifying matches later this month, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Nigeria will participate in the AFCON 2027 qualifiers by opening their campaign at home against Madagascar on the 25th, before traveling to meet Guinea-Bissau in Morocco four days later.
Usor was key for the Austrian team last season when they ended a 61-year wait for the league title and also completed a domestic double by lifting the Austrian Cup.
It was his most productive season with 15 goals and ten assists in 35 games in all competitions. He has also started this season on a solid note, with three goals and five assists in 11 games.
Comfortable as a winger or striker, he scored and provided an assist as LASK entered the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time in their history, with a 5-1 victory over Scottish side Celtic to move 5-4 on aggregate after losing the first leg 3-0.
He will take the place of Azeez, who signed for Brighton in the summer transfer market, but has not made his debut due to a muscle injury.
