Rivers Hoopers head coach Ogoh Odaudu and his assistant Abdulraham Mohamed have been selected among 25 basketball coaches from 15 African countries to participate in the 2024 NBA Summer League, scheduled to take place from July 12 to 22 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Complete sports.com reports.
According to a post on the club’X(formerly Twitter), Odadu will join the Cleveland Cavaliers’ coaching staff, while Mohamed will be with the Utah Jazz during the Summer League.
“Our head coach @OOdaudu and his assistant @thebal Abdulrahman Mohamed are two of the 25 African coaches selected to participate in the NBA Summer League from July 12-22 in Las Vegas. While Odaudu will train with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Mohamed will be with the Utah Jazz,” Rivers Hoopers’ post reads.

The selection of the 25 basketball coaches from the 15 African countries is part of NBA Africa and the Basketball Africa League (BAL)’s commitment to developing the capacity and experience of the continent’s coaches, improving the quality of the on-court product and contributing to the continued growth of basketball in Africa.
Six teams that participated in the BAL 2024 season will have at least one coach, namely: Al Ahly (Egypt), Bangui Sporting Club (Central African Republic), City Oilers (Uganda), FUS de Rabat (Morocco), Rivers Hoopers (Nigeria) and US Monastir (Tunisia).
