Ahmed Musa named the new general manager of Kano pillars

Kano pillars officially named former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa as a new club general manager.

The announcement was made on Friday by the Kano state government, which also launched a newly formed council for the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) championship four times.

Musa, who appeared for Sai Masu Gida during the 2024/25 NPFL season, took the leadership role aimed at revitalizing the team.

According to the government, its appointment is a deliberate strategy to take advantage of football experience and broad leadership quality to restore the club’s competitive advantage.

Ali Muhammad Umar has also been maintained as chairman of the club, continuing the role he previously held.

This new leadership structure is part of a broader reform intended to improve club operations and improve its performance in the coming season.

Meanwhile, Kano’s pillar is still without a permanent head coach after the resignation of Usman Abdallah.

The team concluded last season at the ninth place at the NPFL table.
