[Press Release] The Congress All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo wishes to categorically refute the unfounded and incendiary statements made by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

It is essential to clarify that the current security challenges that have to deal with the state of ondo are not simply a local question, but rather a national concern that is addressed with the utmost seriousness by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in his unshakable commitment to the safety of our citizens, took concerted measures to mitigate these threats, including a renewed mandate for Amotekun and other security agencies to intensify their efforts in the protection of our communities.

The accusations of collusion of the PDP and the alleged alliances involving the governor Aiyedatiwa are to say the least factory, evoked by the pit of political bitterness and despair.

These statements are not only unfounded, but also reflect a profound misunderstanding of the governor’s dedication to his constitutional obligations.

It is deplorable that the PDP, in its search for relevance, chooses to anctus the lies that only serve to sow discord and panic among the population.

In facing the safety problems, the administration has implemented a multifaceted approach through the Amotekun Neighborhood Watch, which was decisive in promoting the supervision of the community and cooperation with the police. This initiative is not simply a STOPGAP measurement; It is a proactive strategy designed to involve citizens in collective responsibility for guaranteeing their safety. The governor was resolved in his commitment to strengthen these efforts, ensuring that the state of Ondo remains a bastion of peace and security.

Furthermore, we must unequivocally refuse the alarming figures of the victims paraded by the PDP as exaggerated and misleading. This reckless rhetoric is not only irresponsible, but also deeply unresolved for the memory of those who have tragically lost their lives. The attempts of the PDP to exploit these tragedies for political profit are not only unpleasant, but they also undermine the real efforts made to face the question at hand. It is a disservice for the victims and their families to politicalize their suffering in such an insensitive way.

We ask the PDP to embrace a more constructive approach to the opposition, which gives priority to the well -being of our citizens on the political score.

The role of an opposition party should be to provide a weighted criticism and contribute to solutions, rather than to appear the flames of panic and discord. The people of the State of Ondo deserve better than the small quarrels and sensationalism to which the PDP has appealed.

Finally, we remind the PDP who are stakeholders in the search for safety and stability in the state of ondo.

Their propensity to spread falsehoods and to engage in divisive policy only serves to exacerbate an already delicate situation.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa remains firm in his commitment to defend the lives and ownership of the citizens of the State of Ondo, as imposed by the overwhelming support he received to the polls.

He will not be discouraged in his mission to guarantee the safety and well -being of our great state.

We all work together, transcending the political divisions, to encourage a safer and safer broadan state for everyone.
