How we got here: the road to the final
Women’s Category
The tournament opened with a declaration of intent from the National Association of Philosophy Students, which dismantled the National Association of Linguistics and Languages Students (LAAS). 2-0 in the group stage, guided by the calm leadership of cintia and elizabeth. Meanwhile, History, English Language (NAELS) and European Language and Integration Studies (ELIS) made their way through a competitive group, setting up a semi-final round that would not disappoint.
Semifinal 1 – History 2-1 LAAS
History stepped up when it mattered most, beating a determined LAAS team in a hard-fought semi-final. LAAS pressed hard and found the net for a nervy finish, but History kept their composure to claim a goal. 2–1 victory and book your place in the final. It was a victory that announced History as true contenders for the title: disciplined, efficient and capable of managing moments of pressure.
Semifinal 2 – Philosophy 2-0 English Language (NAELS)
Philosophy, undefeated and gaining confidence with each match, continued its imperious streak with an impressive 2-0 victory over NAELS. Organized at the back and clinical in attack, they were simply too good that day. Their path to the final was built on a foundation of tactical intelligence and collective determination, the same qualities that took them past NAELS and into the final.
Male Category
The men’s group stage served to define the history of the tournament: FACASA (Creative Arts)dismissed as underdogs, they surprised the most feared side of the faculty: History – with an impressive 2-0 victory that shocked the entire competition. Nobody saw it coming. Everything changed.
But History, wounded by that early defeat, was not over. A rescheduled game against Philosophy gave them a chance to redeem themselves, and they took advantage.
Semifinal 1 – Creative Arts (FACASA) 3-0 LAAS
FACASA did not reach the semi-final just because of feeling. They backed up their giant-killing with a ruthless and domineering attitude. 3-0 demolition of LAAS, a result that confirmed that it was not a coincidence. Three goals, a clean sheet and a match full of energy, organization and offensive intent. The underprivileged have become real contenders and the teachers are beginning to believe.
Semifinal 2 – History 1-0 Philosophy (rescheduled)
History refused to let their ARTLYMPICS 6.0 campaign fall apart. In a rescheduled semi-final match against Filosofía, they delivered a focused and disciplined performance and scored a crucial goal. 1-0 victory to get closer to the final. It wasn’t flashy, but it was effective. The story is back. And they have unfinished business.
The preview of the final
Women’s final: History vs Philosophy
This is the ending that ARTLYMPICS 6.0 deserves.
On the one hand, History – a team that has demonstrated resilience, game management and the ability to win close and difficult games. Their semi-final victory over LAAS showed that they can handle the pressure. On the other, Philosophy — possibly the most complete team in the women’s category, undefeated in regulation time, with two clean sheets and a collective quality that has impressed throughout the tournament.
Cynthia and Elizabeth will be key Philosophy figures as they pursue what would be a historic first ARTLYMPICS title. History, however, will not give way easily. They have earned their place at this table and have the calm confidence of a team that has been put to the test and come out on top.
Expect tactical chess, moments of individual brilliance, and an ending that could go either way.
Men’s Final — Creative Arts (FACASA) vs History
This is the revenge that no one expected and now everyone demands.
When FACASA surprised History 2-0 In the group stage it was the surprise of the tournament. The story of the helpless who refuse to be discarded. Now, fate has brought them together again on the grandest stage of all, with the ARTLYMPICS 6.0 title at stake.
History will come hungry for revenge and redemption, having regrouped admirably to reach the final through a disciplined semi-final victory. FACASA will arrive with nothing to lose and everything to prove: the same dangerous mentality that brought down History the first time.
Will FACASA be able to complete one of the most remarkable stories in the history of ARTLYMPICS? Or will History rewrite the ending?
