Bursaspor completes the signing of Kelechi Iheanacho for three seasons

Kelechi Iheanacho has officially joined Turkish side Bursaspor after signing a three-year contract with the club.

The Nigerian striker was introduced today in a welcome video shared on the club’s social media platforms, accompanied by the message: β€œAilemize Hoş Geldin, Kelechi Iheanacho” (Welcome to our family, Kelechi Iheanacho). πŸ’šπŸ€

Iheanacho becomes one of the latest additions to Bursaspor, which continues to strengthen its squad for the new season. The move also offers the Super Eagles striker a new challenge after spells in England, Spain and Scotland.

At Celtic, Iheanacho helped the Hoops win the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup. Despite being offered a one-year contract extension, the Nigerian striker rejected the offer and opted to join Turkish side Bursaspor on a three-year contract.

The 29-year-old began his European career at Manchester City before enjoying a successful spell at Leicester City, where he won the FA Cup and Community Shield.

He later played for Sevilla and Middlesbrough before joining Scottish champions Celtic. Iheanacho helped the Hoops win the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup before turning down a one-year contract extension to complete his move to Turkish side Bursaspor on a three-year deal.
