Mr Mustapha Ussif, Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports, emphasized the nation’s readiness to welcome athletes and visitors alike.

Ussif stated, “The forthcoming 13th African Games carries immense significance for the national development of Ghana.

Beyond the thrill of competition, the event serves as a catalyst for progress, growth, and development.”

” The construction of state-of-the-art sports facilities in the country not only provides a platform for athletic excellence but also contributes to the overall infrastructure development, leaving a legacy for generations to come,” the Minister concluded.

It also encouraged members to document and share evidence of their tree planting activities as part of efforts to promote responsibility and inspire broader public participation in environmental management. “The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago; the second best time is now,” Badmos said, urging immediate action rather than continued delays in addressing environmental challenges. He expressed optimism that sustained efforts to plant trees would help make Abeokuta greener, Ogun State healthier and Nigeria more resilient to environmental risks. Badmos reaffirmed NES’s commitment to ongoing support, awareness creation and practical interventions aimed at promoting a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
