Venezia, newly promoted to the Italian Serie A, have reached an agreement for the signing of Nigerian international striker Jerome Akor Adams from Sevilla, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
On the afternoon of July 10, an agreement was reached with Sevilla for the arrival of Adams, after the visit of sporting director Antonelli to Spain.
The agreement amounted to 16 million euros plus bonuses, but the payment details have already been finalized. The Nigerian striker is expected to join Giovanni Stroppa’s squad next week, with Monday a possible date for a medical before signing the contract.
Adams, a full international with Nigeria, could arrive in time to be tested by the coach in the second friendly that the Venetians will play in Falcade, after Sunday’s match against Dolomiti Bellunesi, scheduled for Thursday against Vis Pesaro.
