Election of the Electoral College of the state of Okura: APC candidate, Hassan Shado Vince-Thage

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INC) said Hassan Shado, candidate for the all progressive Congress (APC), winner of the bye elections on Saturday for the electoral college of Okura’s state in Kogi

By announcing the results at the Egume collection center, the return officer, Professor Emmanuel Egenche Onome, revealed that the APC candidate has probed a total of 55,073 votes to emerge respectively the candidates of the Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied PDP.

The elections, however, witnessed a low turnout to the voters, with some opposition parties that have raised concern about the credibility of the process.

The hello elections were conducted after the death of the enema Paolo, the former legislator who represents the electoral college of the state of Okura, who created a vacant place in the Chamber of the Assembly of the State of Kogi.

Five political parties who participated in the health elections included; Agreement; Yakubu Ugbade, African Democratic Congress; Amps Ahiaba Amos, All Progressives Congress; Hassan Shado, movement of allied people; Egene Joseph Ugbede and Popular Democratic Party; Meliga Godwin.
