An eyewitness has narrated how former Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo was killed during a kick in Kaduna in the early hours of this morning, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
The forward had an outstanding football career playing for teams such as Esperance of Tunisia, Turkish Besiktas, Sivasspor and Istanbul Basaksehir, among others.
He quit football in 2018, but usually stays fit on the field at a primary school located in a region called Ungwan Yelwa in Kaduna, close to where he lives.
In the early hours of this morning he was fine and completed the first 45 minutes, but he collapsed five minutes into the second half of the kickabout and died before reaching hospital.
“This is where he usually trains to stay fit and he also runs a football academy. We all thought he had injured himself by falling. After a while we discovered that he was not breathing properly and they resuscitated him and rushed him to the hospital. He died right at the entrance of the hospital,” an eyewitness narrated.
