The essence of sex education is to help children understand the body structures of men and women and gain knowledge about birth.

It teaches children about the distinctions and similarities between men and women as well as their future development and knowledge of people of the opposite sex.

Sex education also teaches them about the responsibilities and roles that are expected of people of their gender and, by extension, of themselves. Although it is unconventional, it varies between cultures and traditions.

Sex education is of great importance to society as a whole and is somewhat holistic. Its importance will be listed and explained in a moment.

Here are the reasons why comprehensive sex education should be taught at home:

“Just say no” doesn’t change opinions

Simply telling a child to say no when approached by the opposite sex is no guarantee that they will. A smart kid would ask you what they should say no to. Simply telling someone to say no doesn’t help those who want to say yes.

It is therefore very beneficial to give the child reasons to say no. Clearly stating the many dangers of engaging in sexual activity would be a big help. Education has never been harmful.

Boys want to be men, teach them to be good men

A male child wants to grow up and become a man, children now seem tired of being children and want to grow up and experience life.

This trait is reflected in their desires and in their relationship with life. It would be in their best interest to teach them what they need to know, including sex education.

Girls want to be women, teach them to be good women

The above explained in number two also applies to girls, they too want to know what women know and they tend to be in a hurry to know it.

Refusal to let them know could result in an unhappy experience. Parents are therefore advised to teach their children everything they need to know about sexuality.

Comprehensive sex education does not encourage children to have sex

Contrary to what many parents believe, knowledge is in no way dangerous, but rather ignorance. Some parents think that when a child knows everything about sex, he will try to do it.

Contrary to this, when a child does not know, that is when he will be eager to know and this could lead to the act. While knowing the disadvantages of premature sex would help the child to stay out of it.

The more children know, the more likely they are to say no

Children have magnetic brains and everything they know stays with them. If they know it before they’re lied to, it would help them say no and walk away, but if they don’t know it, they might be tempted to find out what’s in there that seems important.

Full Sex Encourages Abstinence, Not Ignorance

Conscious abstinence from anything is a function of knowledge. You’d have to know something to know why you don’t want to get involved in this.

If a child knows the disadvantages of getting involved in premature sexual activities, he is more likely to refuse such an act so as not to cause problems for him.
