Kano Pillars complete the signing of Shola Abdulraheem on a two-year deal

Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Shola Abdulraheem on a two-year contract from top-flight club Kwara United.

The Kwara-born midfielder joins the four-time NPFL champions after an impressive spell with Kwara United, where he played a key role in the club’s historic triumph at the 2025 Federation President Cup, the first major trophy in the club’s history.

Kano Pillars through their social media welcomed the midfielder to the club, expressing confidence in his ability to strengthen the team ahead of the new season.

“Welcome to Kano Pillars, Abdulraheem Shola! The attacking midfielder joins Sai Masu Gida from Kwara United on a two-year deal. We wish him every success in the famous yellow and green.”

Abdulraheem’s arrival adds creativity and attacking quality to Sai Masu Gida’s midfield as the club continues to strengthen its squad for the upcoming NPFL campaign.

The former ABS Ilorin FC midfielder is expected to bring his experience, vision and attacking talent to the Kano Pillars who aim to challenge for national honors in the new season.
