Leganes relegated by La Liga, Espanyol Survive

Leganes was relegated to La Liga on Saturday despite a 3-0 victory over Valladolid, while Espanyol beat Las Palmas 2-0 to survive in the final matches of the League.

Javi Hernandez, Yan Diomande and Juan Cruz scored everyone in Buttque while the Madrid side triumphed against Valladolide relegated, but was in vain.

The 65 -minute penalty by Javi Puado and Pere Milla’s goal helped the Catalan team to keep two free points from Leganes, blocked in 18th place above Las Palmas and Valladolid.

Leganes was promoted last season after relegation from the first level in 2020, but now he returns to the second division.
