Nigeria @65: we are winning the war against insecurity – Tinubu tells the Nigerians

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured the Nigerians that the country is making progress constant in the fight against insecurity, insisting on the fact that the security forces are gaining the upper hand against terrorism, the bandits and violent crimes.

In a national broadcast to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence, the president praised the resilience of the armed forces and other security agencies, observing that their intensified operations have restored peace in different areas previously troubled.

According to him, many displaced people in the north-east and north-west have been able to return home following recent military successes. Tinubu described the sacrifices of the security personnel as a control unit to safeguard the nation and has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration in strengthening national security as a basis for recovery and economic development.

“We are working diligently to improve national security, ensuring that our economic experiences have improved growth and performance,” he said. “The officers and men of our armed forces and other security agencies are working tirelessly and making significant sacrifices to keep us safe. They are winning the war against terrorism, Banditi and other violent crimes. Let’s see their victories in their blood and the sweat of Boko Haram in the North-East, iPob/Esn Terror in the South-East and their victories in their country.

The president urged the Nigerians to celebrate the gallantry of the country’s security forces, underlining that their efforts have allowed hundreds of communities to resume peace.
