NNPP extends sale of 2027 election forms for one week

The New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) has extended the purchase window for 2027 election candidacy forms by one week.

The party, in its initial schedule, had set May 10 as the deadline for selling its nomination forms.

The party’s Secretary General, Comrade Ogini Olaposi, announced the latest directive on Monday in Lagos.

Olaposi said the extension followed a directive from the NNPP Board of Trustees to the National Working Committee (NWC) and was approved by the party Founder, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam.

He said the reason for the extension was the delay in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) uploading the logo of the party’s original executive committee led by Dr. Agbo Gilbert Major on his platform.

He added that the collection and return of contestant forms has now been extended until May 17.

According to him, the party has set its nomination fee at N5 million for presidential candidates, governor N2.5 million, senate N1.5 million, house of representatives N1 million and house of assembly N500,000.

“Our forms are free for all women and people with disabilities and all our elected officials seeking re-election are guaranteed an automatic ticket upon purchasing the form.

“Our screening dates for candidates will coincide with the earlier announced dates,” said the Secretary General.
